AMERICAN SUZUKI SALES UP 53 PERCENT IN OCTOBER
Value-packed new models and commitment to quality help ASMC post the best October in its history
BREA, Calif. (November 2, 2004) - American Suzuki Motor Corporation (ASMC) continues to achieve strong sales, posting a 53 percent increase in October 2004 compared to the same month last year and a 28 percent increase in year-to-date sales. Suzuki’s October 2004 sales qualify as the best October in the company’s 19 years of selling cars and SUVs in the United States.
Fueling Suzuki’s record sales and success is the rapidly expanding product line featuring the recent addition of two new vehicles to the 2005 family: the five-door compact Suzuki Reno and versatile Forenza Wagon, both arriving in showrooms this fall. These products, combined with the growing network of more than 525 U.S. dealers and America’s #1 Warranty, Suzuki’s industry-leading, 100,000-mile, fully transferable, zero-deductible powertrain limited warranty, continue to strengthen the Suzuki brand.
Additionally, Suzuki is cementing its position as the value-packed choice, with the top-selling Suzuki Forenza premium compact and the Suzuki Verona midsize sedan, introduced last year.
"We are extremely pleased with our record sales achieved this year, said Koichi Suzuki, president of American Suzuki’s Automotive Operations. “Suzuki continues to grow in the U.S. market as a result of innovative new models that attract more first-time Suzuki customers. By exceeding consumer expectations for capable toughness, leading-edge styling and high-end features with prices well below the competition, Suzuki is in a solid position for continued growth.
