In keeping with the do it yourself style of building heres some Crager Star rims that started life as 15x7's,of course when I got em they were a little worse for wear,But for free.After measuring the back spacing and the inner rim diameter I decided they were prime candidates for a rim recycling,Heres a before and after, With the Swampers streached over em they don't look to bad and even balanced good,finale price about $15.00 materal and paint, finale size 15x9. Keep em rollin.  M.Z.

  Hey Wild they are Toyota axles 4.11 gear(more meat to em,its also runnin a Nisson 2.0 OHC and 5 speed mated to Samurai T-case with 4:6.1 gears) a little different but effective. Later M.Z.

Nice rim job... wait that didn't come out right... anyway that's pretty cool. I have the privilage of having a sand blasting station at work and I have done a few rims. They even have a small paint booth so its really great.

   Explosivo sorry for any confusion,the rims were widened 2 inches,trued,welded,primed then painted.                                     Stevo having access to that equipment makes recycling parts a lot easier, good deal.    M.Z.

and all that stuff. Do you have the specialized
equipment to do all this work

I know a place that can take the centers and
put on any rim width you want, but for the price
of used rims + the work it costs more than new
rims from 4Wheel Parts.com

That sounds like it's more for using hummer wheels where you can't get the wheel itself in the bolt pattern that you need... for regular wagon wheels, it's cheaper to go through 4wheelparts or Summit :-/

  Yeah I have the equipment to do this kind of stuff (I built it to) its more of a challenge type of thing ,and it does make it one of a kind. The previous rims on Mutant Zuk were also recycled by me and I wheeled the crap out of them (they were standard 6 lug widened) these have a better looking center,the holes will allow better cooling and keep some of the mud, sticks,etc from building up around the calipers.Some time next spring I will probably add bead locks to these rims,yeah i'll make them to. Whats wrong with saving money? if gas keeps going up we may all have to cut a few corners.Lets see where did I see that old moonshine still ? hmmm home made ethanol fuel. If you can build it why buy it ? Have a safe Halloween!  M.Z.

  Steveo didn't get back till late this morning,two hours sleep then up and at it.Been out putting body lift on Mutant Zuk,started raining so I'll do a little putering.To answer your question about bead locks, its illegal to run them on the street,but there's so many street locks running around most cops don't bother checking them out.I'm going to convert these later just to see how they will turn out.I haven't had any problems with losing a bead yet,but I'm way past the point of no return on this Zuk so what the heck!   RAMMSTEIN good working music! even in the rain.  M.Z.
