Hi-Lift accessories (in the UK)

Hi-Lift accessories (in the UK)

I've been looking to get a lift-mate and LR90/110 adapter for my Hi-Lift, but eBay prices seem to always be close to retail prices.

The Jackall parts aren't what I want, where I'm having F&R lifting points fabricated on the Vitara to work with the 90/110 adapter.

Where can I get cheap accessories - Google isn't much help!

Cheap parts for Hi-Lifts? Not sure they exist, I got my Hi-Lift and adapter from Scorpion Racing but Specialist Leisure also sell them. My JackGuard case came from Falcon4x4. Given the weight a local outlet might work out cheaper if you can avoid postage - have you tried Devon 4x4?

What is a good website that sells hi-lifts?  Would a high lift be a good alternative to a floor jack in the garage?

If you've got a Northern Tool Store nearby I'd go there to get one. I paid about $50.00 for my 48" cast/steel version Hi-Lift.

i had a farm jack they were ok till you got the thing, muddy or wet then seized ,

I bought my highlift at a show and they tend to do deals
with a few bits thrown,  I have to admit my hilift has so far broken two of my fingers but recovered me 3 times but a deadly thing when it bites back

I'm thinking about picking up a cheap farm jack version from Harbor freight for like $40 or so... I'm sure it'll be more for show mounted on my rig than anything else :) I do need that extra weight up front, after all ;D

I got a blue and yellow one from a local Cummins truckload tool sale (48") and it's exactly the same as the cast hilift. It only cost me $30 too... There's one of those sales coming up on thursday nearby, too...

I'm lucky enough to have a good LandRover offroad store near me, and both David Bowyer/Goodwinch and Devon4X4, both within 40 miles.

I can't however beat the standard prices they charge where I had hoped to get a better deal on the internet.

I'm off to pick up a Safari Snorkel at Devon4X4 soon so I guess I'll try and do a deal with them!

I have found out that some of the accessories for the copies ( FarmJack, Jackall etc) don't fit without modification.

just got a brand new 48" hi lift for my bday from my gf, nice unit, works well, she got it from work ( lordco ) , and I think they carry parts for them to.

is it actually legal to carry a jack on your bumper? What is the jack arm swung out? then you'd have a spear on the front of your vehicle...  I'd like to see what it'd do to a rice burner LOL

Hmmm...never have thought about whether it's legal but it's been there a long time with no problems.

why wouldnt it be legal ?, I prefer to mount mine on the back bumper though, dont like much extra weight up front.
