Power Window is off the track.
« on: February 14, 2008, 06:34:54 PM »
(I did a search on this but got nothing)

My drivers side window is loose and when I raise it, it jams at the very top so I have to keep my hand on it to close it correctly.

Whats the fix for this?  (ie. what am I looking for specifically when I remove the door panel?)

Its got all the power W/L controls so I dont want to mess in there for too long.
Plus I got no garage and its the rainy season so it might shower up to 10x day with no warning

the rivets are loose or the bolts holding the window in the channel.

My windows are manual but I just had to replace one. Along the bottom of the glass there is a metal channel that the glass is bonded/clamped into. This channel is fixed by two bolts to the winder assembly, they are easy to access when the window is wound down. Those bolts maybe loose, or the bolts hoplding the wider assembly to the door could be loose.
