That is the "BEST" page/article I've seen on how to weld the rear end.

It's hard to beleave but if you just weld the gears to the carrier it can brake loose and do alot of damage to bearing and gears.

Did you learn that the hard way, too? ::)  I liked that article a lot, too, so I saved it in favorites for future reference.
