Here are a few purchasable kits for disc brakes
http://www.spidertrax.com/s.nl/it.A/id.2117/.f?sc=2&category=8
www.trail-tough.com
"This basic kit includes the pieces necessary for the do-it-yourselfer to put Samurai front calipers and rotors on the rear of your Samurai OR Sidekick."

Samurai
Item #ERD-400 Price $ 99.00
Sidekick
Item #ERD-401 Price $ 99.00

**Note - this kit makes NO provision for e-brake or proportioning.
Full kit here

Trail Tough's new disc brake kit features e-brakes at each wheel - not on the driveshaft ! Uses your Samurai front rotors as well as calipers, cables, and hardware from the front of an '80 to '82 Subaru Sedan.

Item #RDB-400 Price $249.00

Take a look at the vendor list on the main site and just start looking at each of them.
this took me less than 10 minutes to find. :)

I added rear disks to my early 88 using TT's economy kit and spidertrax rear brake line kit. I was going to build the rear disk plates myself but decided to use the TT plates as it was the easy way out. It is a simple easy swap with the correct parts.

And has been mentioned, you will not have an E-brake after the swap. You can pop for the Spidertrax E-brake kit or swap in the SJ410 E-brake.

Ya know. some people will point you to the search part of this site instead of giving you an answer. Bad on them. Nothing against those lazy kinds but giving a quick answer is a hell of a lot better.

If you don't mind doing some welding and have access to the front end you can just build your own rear disk brake setup.

http://www.zukiworld.com/forum/index.php?topic=19053.0

And the reason for pointing to the search, is I need to use the search to find the answers that where posted before anyway.  Even if I made the original post.  :P

Hey don't get me wrong, search is a good thing but it gives you a lot of fluff at times that is not related to what your searching for. And also at times if you don't know exactly what your looking for you will not get any info back you can use. And I use the vendors sites for info also, again you need to know what your looking for at times.

Yes, but it's sort of a catch 22 right? The more threads on here about the same thing, the more fluff in the search.

Umm if you are slamming me for saying use the search functionality.
Then you need to start reading threads more carefully

I'm sorry but I answered the question then said do a search within each vendors site.
This flaming people for saying do a search is really starting to get on my nerves.
I understand the want for just posting a question and getting an answer.
But I really do feel that you should do that after doing a search.
Also you may only get part of the story if you just listen to people who post in your thread.
And if you have done a search and not found anything put that in the thread.
I understand that search isn't always the easiest way to find things but with the advanced search on this site I'm betting that you can find just about anything you are looking for.
And if that doesn't work try google.
I say the person who posted instead of saying I did a search and could not find ....
is the lazy person here.
Anyway just my two cents about the search argument that has come up more and more recently.
And I'm not saying I'm better than anyone else I'm just pointing out and saying what people may not want to say themselves.

Bashzuk, don't take it wrong. You posted some helpfull info, then added the search topic. I was commenting on the general blanket answer of do a search with no other helpfull info. Guess I should have mentioned that.

Or you could have just not mentioned that pet peeve to begin with since, as you agreed, it wasn't an issue in this post.  Sweet thread-hijack, Phloop.
