I only plan on having tires no larger than 31s, currently sitting on 30s no lift.  I would like to protect my rockers but have noticed that alot of the sliders out there seem to take up valuable ground clearance.  If I was planning on a 3" or more lift, it may not be an issue.  But I would like to explore some opitons for none to minimal lift.

This pic is kicker's I was wondering how well does it hold up? That is, if he ever hit it with a rock, since he has such large tires.  I assume it's steel?

Hey Mike, any more info or pics of this set up? And thoughts on how its holding up?

This is the only pic I found for the rockstar, more info and pics on how it was built would be great!  Is the body welded to the frame?

The first pic is Stan's "37Kicker".

The last two are Mikes "Mikerpm4x4"

Both of Mikes rides preformed awesome including all of the body armor (he used every bit of it). Stan also rides hard, but I don't know any thing about his sliders.

I'll send Stan a PM. He is not on here a lot.

The first rig is Stans and as I mentioned earlier in this thread I belive he still has a pair of these that he made for someone and never installed at his house. If your interesed PM him. it may take a few days to get back to you. He is only online a couple times a week. This would be a good option if your rockers were rusty or already bent.

The last 2 were my rigs. They have been combined now so I dont have the ability to take any more pics. The orange one was 1/4 by 6 inch plate steel. I welded triangles to the frame that looked similar to "I" beams. They were about 1/2 from the rockers and would flex up to the rockers at times but it was such a long surface area that it didnt dent them. They worked very well for me and would probabally go that route again if I were to build another street rig.

The boatsides in the third pics I would only do If it were going to have a full cage tied to the body. I think it alters the structure of the vehicle a lot but is very effective.
