Tires
« on: April 21, 2008, 10:37:50 AM »
Looking to upgrade to bigger tires this spring but can't decide on 235's,30's or 31's.Not worried about rubbing as i will lift it with a 2 inch body lift and 2 inch suspension lift.the thing I'm worried about is the drivability.Does the 2 liter 4 door have enough juice with the lowered gearing. My 91 2 door on 31's with the 5.13's is ok for putting around town and the woods but going out of town is starting to get old.

An other factor is the gas milage as this will become my new hunting rig. With the frigging gas prices skyrocketing around here i'd like to keep it around 20 to 25 mpg because i hunt and guide for almost three months in the fall beside the scouting in the summer and usually go around 100 miles a day.The thing is if i'm going to get the same gas mileage on 31's as a newer (2004 chev) i'd rather have the pickup for practical reasons and keep the sidekick for the tight stuff.

Sorry for the long post but this has been bugging me for a while and like to get some clear answers.

Thanks    Steven
