Yeah, the sidedrafts are great (webers not mikuni, I've had both) They work really well and unlike popular belief, they can be set it and forget it. If you set it up right in the first place. My first love, Wedgee, has had sidedrafts on for at least 10 years and thousands of miles; works good. Horse power increase is there but is better when internals have been done first. Remember, timing must be addressed.
I'd be worried about that rig you're looking at because it doesn't have any air cleaners on it. Did they run it that way? Is the engine 'dusted'? That's what I'd worry about... Also, (just took a second look at pics) They've done something 'unique' with the runners. It looks like they've tapped vacuum lines or something into each runner. That would be dumb... and one would have to have those holes welded up. It's hard to tell in the pictures...
