Hi guys !

A quick question do you use the cluch and  flywheel and starter from the 1.6 when you do the swap in a sammy? IM sur you do but just want to make sure!

1.6 starter, sammie flywheel, sammie clutch.

at least thats what mine has with the sammie trans and the adapter plate route, make sure you at least get a petroworks clutch fo it (dual friction about 212.00) and they have a front trans snout that has brass on it that looks good also.

I was thinking of going with the centerforce dual friction cluch? has anybody used them?

I used the 1.3 starter but I had to grind back the casing.

DUAL FRICTION is the way to go ..  almost indestructable

Are you guys buying the trailtough wiring harness conversion or are you hacking your own?  I am planning on doing a swap soon and am trying to figure out what I will need for my 1.6l 8v to fit.  Also the RRO adapter kit says it comes with different motor mount adapters.  Did you guys go this route?  If not RRO what other kits are good?  Are you swapping in the Sidekick radiator too? 

Oh, and since I will probably be using my 92 5speed sidekick as the donor are their any other parts that I should consider salvaging.  Gears, ect?  I had bought a mini-spool for the kick but hadn't installed it yet.  I think it said on the box it worked for sammies too?  Sound about right?  How about my warn hubs I put on the kick?  Will they work with the sammy?  I had also just put on new rotors and pads but am guessing those wont transfer.  My sammy is a 88 FYI.

mine is do it yourself wiring, 16v valve, with petroworks full circle mounts, there is a couple of diffrent 1.6 motor mounts maybe they give you one in case you have the odd one? on the clutch the petroworks does not have all of those weights on the pressure plate to fall off and get stuck etc. you could take them off but you would still need two feet to push on the clutch pedal. mine has worked good for about five years but I only drive mine at the mall

Yes I have done that on my 413K. Ideally you should open out the inlet ports to match the 1.6 head. You will also need an electric fuel pump if its a 1.6 EFI engine.
You can also modify the 1.3 flywheel to take the 1.6 16V which is much stronger than the 1.3 clutch and cheaper than the Petroworks dual friction.

I am also looking at a 1.6L  but a 16valve swap.  Where can I get some information on the wiring required to adapt it to my '86 Samurai? 
And what other parts would I need from the donor? 
I'd prefer to wire it myself, but want an idea what is going to be involved before I commit too much $$ and time.

You need to get the wiring loom, ecu, relays, vehicle speed sensor, air flow meter, an EFI fuel pump and the immobiliser if fitted.

Do you have the same info but for the 8Valve?
