Braking Question
« on: October 06, 2004, 09:11:25 AM »
Hello All,

I have found lately that when I have to hit the brakes with a little more force then normal, my zuke pulls hard to the left. The brakes were just redone not too long ago and all the tire pressures are equal.

Any ideas as to why?

Thanks

It sounds like a stuck caliper.

Leaking fluid onto the pads

Did you use any slide lube on the
caliper pins when you put it back
together ???

Rotors of equal wear and/or surface
of the rotors smooth and not grooved
or gouged from over use of the old pads
???

If they didn't replace or rebuild the calipers, that can cause this symptom. On a Beetle I had, it did similar when one of the rubber brake hoses seperated inside.

Also check that everything was tightened properly.
