I don't believe so it is more to do with helping the rear springs on the Calmini 3" susp lift.  When I go over a dip in the road at about 10mph or some whoops in the desert or a drop on a mountain trail the springs bind and you can see where the powdercoat is scraping off.  I know I have to get better springs to really fix the issue but I ran across the EVS foam and figured it would extend my bumpstops cheaply.  May destroy the shock though which is why I'm still contemplating

It probably isn't stiff enough to destroy your shock, but unless your riding on your bump stop all the time I don't think it is going to fix your problem.  When you say they are binding up, where exactly?  If they just are not flexing properly you can get Teflon liners to put in between your leafs.  This will (should) allow your springs to flex easier and avoid binding up.

That is where I found it, but supposedly OME sells them as well.

On a somewhat related note, found composite springs while looking for the liners.  Anyone try these?

the other weekend I just did a desert trip with the Calmini 3" in my swb 2.0 Kick and the coil bind was so bad I killed a rear spring  >:( It's kinda my fault though 'cause I knew they bind and needed extended bumpstops but I only put it on at the last minute and didn't have time to sort out bumpstop extensions. What can I say but crap design.

I run bumpstops kinda like the daystar ones but mine are off the rear of an 03 chevy astro van. They work real nice front and rear. I drilled out the stock bump stop nut and welded the new nut to the stock location now I can adjust the bumpstops in and out. The chevy bumpstops have a longer bolt molded into them. ;)
