what electric fan would you guys put in a 1.3L zuk that is on road and off road (trail, farm, silver lake sand dunes)?  some guys have said ford escort electric fans work great, and some say some from summit racing(flex-lite), can you tell me exact fans (measurements and whatever else needed to make work), thanks so much guys..

Are you looking at replacing your existing fan with an electric one or putting an additional pusher fan on in order to give yourself extra cooling?

If it's just a replacement, just take some quick measurements.  Then head down to the junk yard and start going through some passenger cars and finding one that fits.  There is enough room in the engine compartment on the Samurai that you can build a mounting system without to much of a problem.

The fan is set up as a pull, and is the same size as the sami radiator.
I have this kit and it works awesome!! It has an adjustable thermostat on it, that you just set with the turn off a nob, its just really easy to setup and use.

 I AM REPLACING THE STOCK CLUTCH FAN, THIS WOULD BE A PULLING FAN THAT IS NEEDED.  REMEMBER BUDGET IS PART OF THE PICTURE, BUT I WOULD ALSO LIKE SOMETHING THAT WOULD BOLT RIGHT IN AND IS NOT A COBLE JOB (SOMETIMES CHEAP = COBLE JOB), THANKS

On budget = fan from Ford Escort |removethispart|@ junk yard (get fan shroud too). Fits like it was meant to be there.
Flex-a-lite fan is $110 without thermostat, or $160 with. It's new - it fits perfectly.

Both can be installed well, or cobbled. Depends on how good your aftermarket fab /install skills are.

IF DOING FLEXALITE FAN, WOULD YOU DO W/ OR W/O THERMOSTAT? If you are going to be doing an E-fan there is no reason you shouldn't have it set up to a thermostat.  It makes life so much easier, you just set it and forget it (in a way).  You don't have to worry about driving across town and forgetting to check your temp gauge and turn on your fan.
My buddy had this problem a lot, he would always forget to turn on his fan or even look at his temp gauge.

if you are into mud pits and water crossings, you might want to think about slapping an on/off switch onto it.

I have my E-fan set on a thermostat and have an on/off and i like it a lot!
Its set up as a puller and it always keep my engine running nice and cool.
