Huh???? ??? ???

You can also check to see if he pulled the fuse that goes to the distributor. Under the steering wheel to the the left is the fuse box. See if the fuse is gone. Not sure what else it controls but I had that fuse go out and until I replaced it, No start. Simple and cheap and worth a look. Other wise, beat it out of him. :police: :police:

Is there a black wire with a connector dangling from the distributor??  It shoud fit to a connector that goes to a grounding bolt on the firewall.

Check the wiring around the distributor.  there should not be any loose or unplugged connections.

Another thing that might be a missing is the fuel pump push rod. If it is missing, the guy who is owed money is truly a diabolical critter!

On the back side inside of the mechanical fuel pump (located on the head at rear on the passenger' side) is a rod. One end sits on a lobe on the camshaft that drives the fuel pump. The other end sits on a lever that moves the pump diaphragm.  If this rod is missing, the fuel pump will not work!  No fuel, no run.

BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN REMOVING THE FUEL PUMP!  If the rod IS there, you can puncture the pump's diaphragm and ruin the fuel pump.  Of course if it is missing, that will not be a problem until you find a replacement pump rod and re-install it on the fuel pump.  BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN HANDLING THE PUMP WHILE REASSEMBLING IT ONTO THE HEAD! Do not let the pump rod bump against the diaphragm lever or it might puncture the diaphragm.

Good luck!

You could always do the easy thing and pay the guy  ::) . Odds are he does not want someone running around in his vehicle that they have not paid for at the risk of it getting torn up and not receiving his money.

If you are not late on agreed payments or not driving the vehicle was part of the deal, he vandalized YOUR vehicle if you have the title.

A bad deal no matter how you look at it.

Guys, I know everyone wants to help (and that is way cool) but it appears from the initial post, which is difficult to read, that you are all helping this person to steal this car. Do you want to be accessories to theft?

I don't think he's stealing the car since possession is 9/10ths the law as the saying goes. I'm not even sure if he is from an english speaking country. If he's stealing the car, the guy that stole the parts should call the police instead of just vandalizing the car. my two cents.

Point well taken!

I was under the impression that he bought the Samurai from someone who had not paid for it.  In retrospect, this is just as bad as being the guy who actually defaulted on the purchase agreement.  Either way, Eric, you are correct in that responders may be supporting someone whose intent is to violate the law.

Plus, the poster seems to have a bit of trouble with the Americanized version of the Queen's English.  It's kinda hard to figure out what is going on from the get-go with this thread.

I am done here.

I don't read it that way at all.  A guy owes somebody some money.  The guy who's owed the money disables/vandalizes the debtor's car.  The debtor sells the disabled car to Fuch, perhaps to raise some money to put toward the debt.  Fuch is trying to get his newly-legally-purchased "as-is" car working, but the disabler/vandal won't cooperate until he gets all his money.

Sure, this could all be bogus but, as described, it's kosher.  Wacky bizarre, but kosher.

Yep, I can see that in the 'writings' of the newbie too.. At the very least, it's good to have this conversation. I think! :)

Hard to tell what the situation is...
But in Ohio, the Title is 9/10ths of the law. Just ask the guys sittin' in the clink for grand theft auto!

Thing that's suspicious to me is that we haven't heard from fuch since the suggestion that it may be stolen...  ???

If it's legit, I would advize avoiding deals like this!
