Dear BRC Action Alert Subscriber,
Attention Western Wyoming and Eastern Idaho recreationists!
As you know, the Jackson, Buffalo and Big Piney Ranger Districts (North-Zone) of the Bridger-Teton National Forest are currently updating their travel plan. The Forest Service (FS) has just announced that the Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) for the Off-Highway Vehicle (OHV) Route Designation Project - North Zone is now available.
The DEIS and maps of the five alternatives are available by visiting the Forest's website at
www.fs.fed.us/r4/btnf/projects/travelrevision/index.shtml. Hard copies of the Draft EIS will be available for viewing in person at the Buffalo, Jackson, and Big Piney Ranger District offices, as well as the Bridger-Teton National Forest Supervisor's office and the Teton County Library.
Public comments are being accepted through August 4, 2008.
For more information, contact David Wilkinson at the Jackson Ranger District at (307) 739-5544.
JUST REMEMBER, PUBLIC INVOLVEMENT IS CRUCIAL TO KEEP RECREATION AREAS OPEN, PLEASE GET INVOLVED!
