4x4 shops in british columbia/start one
« on: October 04, 2004, 02:00:58 AM »
Any body know of or would like to start a 4x4 shop in british columbia? Particulary around victoria,or vancouver?  I'm looking into the possiblity of moving there. Trying to make contacts there. I have a auto body degree. Lots of tools and car parts and ideas to spare.  Such as using govt grants to start a business. Also I know a good location Point Roberts possibly.  I have experience with working on and modifiying early broncos,Toyota 4runners,and zuki's. On of my reasons for wanting to move there is that people there seem freindlier, more racially tolerate and I wouldn't feel like i need to carry a gun.  I can't legally anyway I'm in Omaha city limits and it's a PIA for permits. Plus when u feel u need to carry a gun to protect yourself all the time that society has failed you.  I'm sorry to say that but that's just how I feel.  Oh I also have a tube bender and 125 ft of 2inch .120 chrommoly and mig welder.  plus to much other stuff to list.  I need to be surrounded by Creative Canadians not Negative Nebraskan Naysayers.  There's only 4x4 shop in town and that's a joke with what they charge and mostly all's they do is order outta a catalog big deal.  Stuff the shop would need is tig welder, plasma cutter, cutting torch, a nice professional tube bender I know where theres a nice one $1850 bucks.  If u get a govermnet grant possibly a joint type deal between U.S./canada. The fiancing might be approved.  I'd like to be a assitant fabricator/consultant.  As far as salary just pay me enough for food and clothing. Hell find a shop with a apartment on top I'll live there rent free. :o See govt. grants u don't have to pay back. Loans u do so let me know. I almost forgot I'd like to help start a tube chassis, rock buggy business. I'll keep checking up on this. 8) TIA
