Where to find wheels...
« on: July 24, 2008, 07:49:55 AM »
So where have you guys found your wheels that have 2-3" of backspacing? The only 15x7's with the 5x5.5 bolt pattern I can find have 3.75" of BS and I've looked all over  :(

Also, is there any place that sells a 2" BL that has all the bumper brackets included? I can fab some up like others if needed...just wondered if anybody knew of a company that has them.

Thanks!

My bro just got some rims from summit racing.

They do sell rims with 2 and 2.5 backspacing, you just have to call the right guy.
Not everyone at summit knows that they sell them, but there is this one guy that you can get a hold of and they will have them made for you.  They do not come painted or coated, just raw metal rims.

If you want i can get the guys number or try to.

I just ordered mine through the local Les Schwab, but Discount Tire could probably get some as well.  15x8 and 3.5" of back spacing.  You can also get the rock crawler rims from 4 Wheel Parts with custom backspacing for a decent price.  If your planning on running 10.5" or wider tires I would go with a 15x8 wheel instead of 15x7, unless you plan on adding bead locks.

I run 15x7 with a 10.5

You can air down to 0 psi and not have to worry about breaking the bead.

When i had my tires mounted on my rims it made the guy work extra hard to get them on.
It took lots of pig lard and power!  So im pretty sure there not going to come off.

I run pro comp 15x7 with 2.5" backspace on my kick, They had to be custom made by pro comp because it is an uncommon backspace for that width of rim. There was NO extra charge to get them made up but it did take a little while' here is the part # PCW515785R25 (and they came powder coated)

If your wanting black spokes, check out Wheelers Off-Road. They have the backspacing your looking for.
