Trackers R Us??
« on: September 30, 2004, 02:59:00 AM »
A place out of Kentucky called Trackers R Us is listing alot of stuff on Ebay and has a pic of the salvage yard, which is loaded with Suzukis and Trackers, does anyone know the phone number to them by any chance? I tried the yellow pages on Yahoo! but no luck.

Write him a question through Ebay on one of his items. Simple eh? Didn't think about that eh? Step away from the Suzuki, turn around and take a deep deep breath. LOL

I thought about that, but then they might be mean and ask me to buy something or leave, like a mean old man at the corner store!

I think I e-mailed them a question about a part I needed and never heard back from them.

I've read many posts from him on the yahoo groups for sidekicks, vitaras, suzuki's, etc. Sometimes the guy does act like a grump, other times he's actual informative. His prices also vary.

Do a search as to what he's bid and won on Ebay. He buys all over the country so it's actually probably a great yard to deal with for parts. To add, I have some info to a Suzuki yard in OK somewhere. I'll have to go home and find the printout.

I asked...

"I have a 1990 Tracker 4x4. I currently have the stock 3-speed automatic transmission (3l30 AKA th-180). Do you know if the 4-speed OD transmission will bolt up to my engine (1.6l 8v) & transfer case. Thanks, Jerry"

... and was told...

have good 3 speeds

Not much of a response, but then again, I was hoping he'd either know the answer right off or do my legwork for me.

I have been casually looking at engines & trannys for a while now and noticed there was another ebay member a while back who had a lot of Suzuki parts and worked out of KY that I haven't seen for a while.  I don't know if it's the same guy or not.

Anyway, time will tell once the feedback starts to come in.

I doubt if he would know info about something like that. Most yards only deal with a network for information of parts replacement. And from the sound of it, that's how he'd basically answered. Sort of like if you are looking for a 4.3l GM with efi to fit into your tracker. Will it work? He could answer that he doesn't know and you'll be on your way. If he answered he has 3 engines, then this makes you do your leg work and it tells you in the back of your mind, that he has 3 engines for you. All yards will not tell you if things will work out. You tell them what you want, they tell you they have it or not. Liability is a big cost in that industry.
