Tracker coil spring lift question
« on: September 27, 2004, 02:31:54 PM »
There sure has been alot of talk about the coil spring lift. So I figured I'd ask a question as well. I have a tracker 2dr. soft top and I am looking into putting the 2" coil spacer in and flipping the strut mount to gain a little lift. I am wondering on tire fitment with this lift only. I have no plans to wheel it, just to ride around town and in the snow this winter. I really want to put 31's on the stock wheels, even if I have to massage the fenderwells.  Also what about using 4 dr. tracker coils? Is there any lift or benefit to using them. I already have the coils from a parts rig, so that would be a freebie. I really want 31's on it. So I am trying to do it without a body lift. Thanks for your help. Jeff

Won't work well like that, a 2" spacer
will lift the front suspension 3" and a
strut mount flip will not be enough, you
need parts, Strut spacers and not a mount
flip, it you want a mount flip use the 4 door
coils, no spacer and you will get a little lift
and more travel, but without strut spacers.

Yes 31s will fit on stock wheels, but they
will rub badly, you need a 3" suspension
lift and some trimmin of fenders, or a body
lift to run 31s without bad rubbage

Good Luck
