I was looking to buy a 1993 Sidekick 4 door with an automatic transmission, then swap the diff gears to 5.13's to run 31's comfortably. HOWEVER, I just found out that the 4 speed auto already has the 5.13 diff gears!!!!!

I was all ready to buy this rig as it is in mint condition and I even put a $200 deposit on it. Please, PLEASE tell me this thing is a 3 speed:



Any way to tell by looking at the shift handle? It also had some sort of "Power Mode" button that made it shift at higher RPM's. Thanks, Austin

I may be wrong, but I if I remember correctly the 4-speeds have 1, 2, D, and OD on the shifter. Also, the Power Mode button is not on the 3-speed.

It's a 4 speed.
