Mixing tire sizes - Front and rear axle?

35's and 29's:

31's and 26's:

Was just goofing around in Photoshop -- Any dangerous handling issues with having different sized tires on the front and real axles in a super-short wheelbase vehicle like this?  I always loved the musclecar/dunebuggy look.

I realize I'd lose 4wd... (unless I paid a fortune to find a mix of front gears and tires to make it work) but it looks pretty neat.  Anyone ever seen anything like this? Got pics? Probably not worth it, but it'd be neat to try out... Summit's got cheap 19" steelie rims for the rear, and a matching set of 15" up front.... Have to find some weird super-wide metric tire for the rears.

I love it with the 35's on the back -- It looks like something from Hotwheels.

If I did my math right......
If you run 35s in the rear with 5.125 gears and 30s in the front with 4.30 gears, then you should be pretty close so nothing would bind in 4wd.  Of course, this is assuming actual tire size, not sidewall stated size.

5.125 and 4.30 are stock trackick ratios.....so they would be a pretty easy swap.

Ok, now that would be pretty cool running around the dunes with a Turbo or a V6/302 sitting in it and 4 wheel drive.  :)
