I just put the 2 inch spring spacer in, now I tried to flip the strut mount, but I didn't gain anything... how do you do it?

If you turn the mount upside down from its original position and bolt it on under the mount area, you have to gain the heighth of the spacer. I didn't measure mine but it is at least 1 1/2".There are probably others, but a good picture can be seen on Zuwarrie.com BBs, Topic 8105, Aug 9  04. If you have any trouble on this, pm me and I'll scan the stuff I have..

You'll gain some travel, but it'll be noticeable if you have a spacer on the strut comparitive to the one you have on your spring... flipping the mount would only give like an inch of spacing...

yea with 2 inch coil spacers make another 1" thick spacer on top of the strut mount flip, i used 2 inch spacers on jens tracker and did the flip but i need another inch of spacing, ive yet to do that, and i probably should asap haha

I'm surprised noone told me that a 2 inch thick spacer would create horrible driveshaft angle.  I put the 2inch spacers in, did the strut mount flip with a 1/4 inch spacer and the strut was fully extended when the truck was level on the ground.  so out came half the spacer.  no wonder you guys are worried about driveshafts, especially when approaching 30 degrees normal angle.

on the cv shaft?? the angle in the tracker I lifted wasnt to bad atall, and only with the strut mount flip the struts are not fully extended sitting level, they have about another inch or so to come out

A 2" spring spacer lifts the front
3" from stock, it's a lever and a
compound lift on the front, you
would need a 3" strut spacer
just to be back at normal strut
positioning in the travel range.

thats all fine about the lift, but I highly doubt it's any good for extreme offroad driving.  That would highly stress the cv joints.

use, and have had installed for 10 years.

I think this is a very capable extreem
offroad system, CVs have never been a problem

OOP's,, How about this drive shaft angle after the 2" susp. lift ?..Before I installed mine , I didn't see it mentioned as a problem in all the topics I had read up on..Wa Hoppen

I have a rear spacer for the DS that
points the yoke directly at the T-case

Front Cv shafts, can take the extra angle
OK, if you don't drop the front Axle Housing
the CVs have to take up the angle.

Again CVs have never been a problem

yea,,I am concerned about the drive shaft angle.. Of all the 2" susp. lifts I've noticed people have put on, I haven't heard any problems with it...?

yea those CV's can take a good beatin thats for sure, so far they've survived the van isle trails just fine!
