Anyone got any ideas on how to fix the slip yoke problem with a super flexi Vitara.

SAS, Coils, but the thing out flexes the slip yokes

does a sammy case have fixed yokes?  mabey you should do a duel t case set up.

I made my own custom length driveshfts using 2" ID mechanical tube. after you cut your driveshaft the tube'll fit over the shaft flush with no play, just weld it up and your good to go.

did mine with a sawzall and a 120V mig and hasn't broken yet and experience no vibrations at all speeds

Ya, all you need is a slip yoke eliminating drive shaft...

Or in layman’s terms, a telescoping drive shaft.

So when your axel drops right out to max travel the shaft just telescopes to make up the difference, instead of pulling the yoke out of the T-case

You would think that some Company would make a slip-yoke elimanating kit for us.
Some Co did say they were but that was over a year ago.

OK, here is my way of eliminating the Slip Yoke.

Get a flange from a diff on a tracker, I think the
ones from a Sammy will work too, but the bolt holes
are different.

Now the part you might not like, I haven't decided what
size bolt to use yet, but at least 5/16, 3/8 would be fine
too but you dont want to get too big or the output shaft
might be weakened.

Now you need to drill the output shaft the proper size
to tap out threads to match the bolt to hold the flange
on.

I was going to put the trans in gear and let the shaft
rotate to drill it out in the center, it could also be removed
and machined, which is the correct way to do it.

The center of the flange will need to have a thick washer
welded in the center to put the bolt through and keep the
flange on the output shaft.

Now all you need is to match the flange with a yoke and
get a driveshaft made with a slip spline in the center instead
of the slip yoke that came stock

Aw!  The good old hack and tap.  They do this to Jeep YJ's and TJ's as a cheap way to get rid of the slip yoke.

It's nice to know I'm not the only nut to do
something like this, and as far as cheep, well
the cost of a new DS is the biggest expence here,
but that's not really "cheep" at around $300
