Anybody intersted in coil spacers?
« on: October 17, 2008, 03:51:29 PM »
Im kicking around the idea of building a compete 2 inch lift for track/kicks. Just want to get an idea if it would sell and be worth my time.

2" spacer in back and 1.5" in front.
Rear Y link spacer
rear shocks- your choice of brand, monroe, pro comp, doetech
Strut spacer

All for around $250 plus shipping, a little cheaper depending on shocks

If you just wanted spacers they would be $60 +shipping

Also I have access to 1" longer front diff brackets for around $150 more. This will help your angle on CV's

So lets get some feed back :)

I'm currently pondering a cheap, short lift to clear some tires.   Probably could use some shocks too....hmm.  250 beans eh?   Shipping to 17901?   Thanks!

K.  So.  How long will it take to build/ship a kit then?  And how much will I save vs getting RRO spacers and finding my own shocks?  Thanks!

Rocky-roads spacers only provide a 1 1/8 of lift,  this will lift you a full 2 inches.  If tou choose not to get shocks that will save you $80. You still have to correct the rear Y link (spacer) and correct your front struts.( not necessary but recomended to get the full benefit).

Any one else interested?

If I dont get enough hits then Ill just scrap the whole idea.

I already make the 2" kit. Minus the shocks and Y link spacer. I did not need one. The complete kit from me costs $120 shipped to the US or $125 to Canada. The shocks I used were $15 each.

Im guessing you used monroe shocks off a 91 crown vic? I would be using doetech or pro comp.
I would perfer the rear y spacer in back to get everything back to stock specs.
If you already are building them, then there is ne need for me to.

I used Gabriel shocks. You can make them if you want but I know what the material costs me and what it would cost someone else. Sometimes it seems it is not worth it but I do like making them and the little extra money doesn't hurt.  8)

What are you guys making the spacers with?  Is it just a "bolt on" application or what?  Since the front is like a coil-over, I don't think I really "need" new struts, but I DO need longer rear shocks. And what is the Y link?

The y link they are talking about is the upper "control arm" holding the rear axle to the car. Its shaped kinda like a Y. I've installed 3 2" lift kits from Jeff and they are really good quality. No grinding, drilling or welding needed. I've also seen some of the work that 96kicker has done and if he makes a kit it would be pretty good too.
SAS Tracker! No looking back now.

I'm going to definately need a kit from one of you guys.  I don't mind using Crown Vic shocks either....so if kicker doesn't make any due to lack of interest, I'll buy something from Jeff.  Sound good?

I'll be able to transfer money through paypal after I get paid in a few days.
