Is there an adventure type series?
« on: November 25, 2008, 02:01:33 PM »
Hey, I subscribe to 4x4 offroad mag and after reading about their ultimate adventure tour I noticed that there are a couple of trackers in the group. Is there a adventure series like the we-rock for 4x4's? Or maybe an extreme 4x4 group that has a 4 cylinder category?  Something that can legitimise the zukis and yotas and others that run small rigs.   Or are all just a bounch of "wanabe jeepers" on a tight budget. lol I don't think so. Let's hear what everyone thinks.

Down at the Powerfest they had an event.  There hasn't been a writeup yet so I don't know what exactly it was like.  But i have done the Team Trophy Challenge for the last 2 years up in Washington State.

In Rock Crawling they now have the Formula Toy group and there was talk of a Suzuki class for a while, just never materialized.  Or I just stopped paying attention, probably both.

All types of 4x4's have their place.  In the NW it's the smaller rigs due to the lack of space on the trails, in some areas it's the full size rigs.  I consider myself a pretty legitimate wheeler already, but I will admit I have a tight budget.  Nothing wrong with that.  :D
