Rear diff locker?
«
on:

Just bought an 87 Samurai, the rear diff has a locker in it (not sure of brand). When I turn on pavement the tires bark and the truck jumps a little. Is this normal?

Sounds like a spool or welded spider gears to me. If it was a locker it would prob not bark unless under power. If it barks when you're coasting, it is defintely locked up permanently!
