Went wheeling on Sunday up a local mountain. (I've posted some pics of this trail before)
I only got stuck once, and it was due to some carnage ÂÂ

. I bent the centerlink in my steering assembly. ÂÂ

Here’s a few pics of my truck. (Didn’t get many. I was too busy taking pics of the other rigs)
Riding the hard line. ÂÂ

That’s my friend Ken, enjoying the ride.

Popping out of the ditch... Took a few attempts to get enough momentum to launch out. Got some nice air under the front tires on each attempt. Here are some poser shots from the failed attempts. (tires aren’t spinning)

This is where I bent my centerlink.  The driver side front tire in this pic SHOULD be pointing straight ahead.

The center link was bend so badly that it binded up against the axel-housing hanger and seized my steering all together.
I was scared that I would need a tow down the mountain, but my friend thought up a good idea.  We wrapped a tow strap around the bend in the centerlink and then wrapped the other side of the strap around a tree.  I gunned the truck in reverse a few times and it started to straighten out the bend.  We got it pretty straight then adjusted the tierods to give me some alignment.  It was good enough to get me home. ÂÂ
I went to the wreckers the next day to get a new centerlink, and I found a PS unit too!  Score!  I'm going back on Friday to rip the PS out. ÂÂ

Cheers
