I will say that is exactly what happen to my trailer when i went down to Flyinj's place, the trailer tires yes 2 different tires , peeled the treaded right off the tires, and yes it forced the trailer to wing back and forth vilantly all over the road.
luckly no one got hurt but the tire shop just blammed them on the manufacture not the age! I think it was truely the age.....

so the rule of thumb to tire code to the age is first 2 numbers is the week of the year

and the last number or number is the year it was made!

6 years or older replace the tire!

What was the year of your tire? What was the tire pressure? Not sure if you have any recourse, or of there's any laws about expiration dates. You could have recourse  ???
