OK, so I am still doing my research about swapping some 1996 - 1998 Suzuki Sidekick gears (5.13) into my 2003 Chevy Tracker. I have been going onto some of the local auto wreckers websites, and ended up on car-parts.com, which seems to list the inventory of a whole bunch of auto wreckers.
I am seeing prices of $350 - $450 on average (low of $225, high of $495) for a complete rear axle to a 1998 Sidekick, with the correct gears. Does this sound right? Also, the same wreckers are selling just the differential for the same amount. Does this sound right? I guess the complete rear axle without the differential is kind of a useless piece of scrap.
What are your thoughts.
