if its just the bolts that are rounded off, you should not need to replace the flywheel, just the bolts, with that said, if the bolts break off inside the crank while trying to remove due to red locktight and over tightening, that wont be much fun.....did you use the right size socket to get them off?

naa it was the bolts  holding  the TC to the fly wheel . ya i used  the right  socket . I bolt came lose , one broke off and the other had no  corners left . i eneded up having to tear it through the flywheel in order to get the TC off . i got lucky as i it already had a crack  around the bolt .
tried to cut it , but it wasnt happening

ooooohhhh those bolts, i thought you meant the other ones, sorry. did you damage the TC any? and where you able to get the broken bolts out of it?

the parts shouldn't be that hard to come by, any wrecker that has the engine out on a shelf normally leave the flywheel on it. they should sell it to you.

if you need  a TC as well, they may not be so willing to take one off a tranny

good luck

no the TC is fine . the broken bolt just un screwed  with alittle pressure from a screw driver  once not in contact with the flywheel
so far no luck with the yards around here  found a  re conditioned one on line but  they want 100 for it

I have one from a 16V engine, not sure if it will interchange with
the 8V one. The 16V had a different auto trans and the TC might
not have the same bolt spacing/pattern
