windjammer pre 95???
« on: March 12, 2009, 10:26:01 AM »
ok... i searched and couldnt find a real answer...

is there a windjammer made for pre 95's thats WATERPROOF. (want to setup the truck with a halfcab style.)

or is there a way to mount the 95+ windjammer on the older trucks? (different straps or what?)

also want to run this with a hard front top (remove the rear hardtop, and run the windjammer when it gets gloomy... but not have to find somewhere to store the rear hardtop when im on the road...)

As far as I can tell, and I've searched for years, windjammers were never produced for the pre-95 model Kick/Trackers.  They did make the deck covers and for a time, the K2 one piece half cab style top.  The 95+ windjammers do not come very far down, so there would be a gap between it and the deck cover.  You might as well have something custom made as to mess with that.  I'm sure you could convert your hardware and run the 95+windjammer & deck cover, but with the deck cover being so high, I see nothing appealing about it.

damn... thats true the deck cover would look a bit odd with no top under it (i run a hardtop) only it will have under it is the seatbelt towers and the rear seat.

i want something that will work for when its not the nicest out but not be my full rear hardtop (to annoying to take on and off when driving around) or when i have the top off and want to go somewhere, i can just throw the cover on the rear and get it a bit more secure.
