How hard is it to install t-case gears?
« on: April 14, 2009, 12:18:22 PM »
Just bought a set of 6.5-1 t-case gears for my samurai from low range and was wandering if anybody has installed them before and how hard is it. I was wandering if I will need a press to a get the bearings and gears apart?

They help, but they are not required.   I did it in the garage over the course of a couple of hours.  You will need to grind out the inside of the t-case though to make room for the larger gears.

If you do a search you should be able to find a couple of write-ups.  There are also installation walk-thru available at http://zukiworld.com/month_070102/feature_rockrawlerdl_install.htm
