« on: August 11, 2004, 05:33:49 AM »
Well I am almost done. I have been installing Toy axles under the Popsicle. I still need to fab some shock mounts and do a few little things but the lift is in. Here is what it looks like ;D

Before the Toy axles and after ;D Oh, the top is the after pic ;)

Come on now. A muddy hill, in a down pour, with 100mph winds and no top :o Sounds like a challange :P I bet that would make an easy trail challanging ;D

Got my rear driveshaft today. It is pretty sweet! Almost back together. I welded the shockmounts on today and did some other odds and ends. Here is what the underside looks like with the Toy axles. ;D

Just need to bolt up the shocks, adjust the tow in and fill the fluids. Maybe tomorrow!!

Yea, I tear out the suspension 2 times a rear and go through all the bushings and such. While its out I clean it all up. I want it tolast as long as possible so I take care of it. Don't get me wrong, it still gets dirty! I just take the time afterwards to make her pretty again!

Well that is yet to be seen. The driveshaft does dogleg back to the pinion flange. I have to go over all the new bolts and tighten them up, set the tow-in, fill the fluids and charge the battery. I hope to have some pics up tonight ;)

Looks like you wont have to worry about drive line problems. Did you leave your T-case mounted stock or rotate it some to take out some of the offset?I turned mine about 30 degrees, and it really helped with that dogleg thing.Good looking ride.      M.Z.

The t-case is still in the stock location. Here is what the angle really loks like. I know at least 6 people that run it like this with no problems to speak of.

Na I dont think you will have any problems with that angle.Mine only has a 15" rear drive shaft so line up of the flanges was a little more critical(Nissan engine and trans moved every thing back farther). But its working good now! Just gotta get some bigger tires,Im still geared way low.    M.Z.
