My Sammy blows oil out the exhaust. Does that mean the rings are going out?

Rings, it could also be valves.  How much oil do you go through and what is your compression like?

check the compression, that will tell you alot but oil out of the exhaust is not a good sign.....

Are you sure the splatter is oil?

I've seen situations where a vehicle burning moderate amounts of oil will have a carbon build up in the exhaust and condensation from a cold start will blow a wet black splatter - essentially a misture of water & soot - from the exhaust.

What pressure should you have?  Depends on how tired the engine is - by the book 150 psi is the low figure for a 1298cc G13BA - but they will run surprisingly well with a lot less than that - I have one here that's 100~120 depending on which cylinder you're measuring - starts well, runs well, uses about a quart every 3000 miles.

Those black spatters are water, not to worry, drive and enjoy your
trucklet, but keep an eye on the oil always at each gas fillup
