02 2.0 ticking

my 02 4 door started ticking any ideas does it have a belt or chain is this a common problem also knocks for about 1 second on the first start of the day has 137 000 kms in real nice shape with 235's on it wranglers any ideas

It has a timing chain, not a belt. It knocks for a second when you first start it because all the oil is in the bottom of the pan and has to be pumped back into the engine. The ticking could be the valve lifters going flat.

Where do you find recalls?

I have a 92 sidekick but I have not checked for any recalls - not that they are valid anymore but it would be nice to know

02 2.0 tick recall??

has anyone heard of this recall or had the work performed if so what was the problem and does anyone know if it is still valid sorry for all the ?'s lol
