Im in the process of customizin my 87' sammurai, i thought about puting on a fold down rear door simuler to a pickup. i also though about puting on a homebuilt swingaway tire carrier/ bumper. any ideas on the rear door or tire carrier?

AkDale on the Off Road.Com board has a tailgate kit. I put it on mine - it's very cool to have on the beach. Also great for carrying big items in the bed. Search the ORC for AkDale.

I also just recently bought and installed a tailgate kit. I had always wanted one and used it a lot of times during camping. It makes a nice table when cooking meals or working on trucks. Not to mention sitting on it and drinking a few brews as you watch others climb obstacles you just did.
