Me personally...i hate body lifts.
I like my plastic bumpers, i'm just not a exposed metal and tube bumper kind of guy.  So to me a body lift is cheap alright, you get what you pay for. 

100's of tutorials and how-to's over the years on here and not one that shows you how to make aftermarket bumper mounts after doing a budget body lift.  And i refuse to pay for the Calmini kit just to get those mounts.  I'm in the same opinion as the OP of this thread.  For just a little lift get spacers or springs. 

Avoid body lifts, they don't technically lift your truck at all.  since the frame is in the exact same place as it is when stock, you gain no real ground clearance.  Even then if you then add a 2 inch suspension lift your frame is still only lifted 2 inches.  A body lift is a waste of time unless you're going to build a huge trail killer rig.

If the body lift allows you to run 31's rather than 29's isn't that equivalent to a 1 inch lift?
