A 10.5" tyre is too wide for a stock (5.5") rim. They will fit but they may not be legal to run where you live, there may also be problems with your insurance if you have an accident with them fitted.

A 10.5" wide tire will rub on the frame in the rear on any tread other than a mild street tire.  You can go 9.5" wide fine with AT's (that what I run) but much more and you will be against the frame on the rear.  Also something else to keep in mind, wider=more rolling resistance.  The bigger the footprint the bigger the hit to your MPG.

hit in the frame in the rear eh?  ??? that's new to me

a 10.5 tire on a stock rim will hit (depending on what lift you have) the inner lip on the rear fender, when you flex out the susp, but that's about it.

and yes MPG will go down, but i bet you wont see a difference between a 9.5 and a 10.5 in that regard

Well if a picture of my 9.5"s and how close they are to the frame would help your imagination I can climb under there with a camera for ya. ;)

I have run 31x10.50 on stock 15x5.5 rims and they rub on the frame when you turn real tight, and they rub on the inside fender liner when you flex the rear end right out.

Okay, so first I miss spoke in regards to where it hits.  I ment to say the fender liner, also I took a bath for these pics since there was much water on the roof that all came down on me when I leaned on the body. :P

The gap you can see there I can fit one of my fingers in and thats it, I could have gotten 10's under there but any real articulation and I would rub for sure so I went with 9.5's and I'm happy.
