Agent_Orange got me thinking!
« on: July 28, 2004, 10:38:44 AM »
I read Agent_Oranges thread on seats and it got me thinking. What if I found some bucket seats for the back of my sami? What do you all think? would it work? be cool instead of a bench seat? And what type of smaller bucket seats would fit in the back?

DAMN EVIL SEEDS!   >:(  More for me to think about  ;D

Low back, plastic racing seats. With a family bar, 5 point harnesses, and their own mounting crossmember that is removable.
Interesting thought, huh?

back seat is for gear and spares... BUT, why not just mount a single rear bucket in the center of the rear, rather than trying to find a miniature bucket?

Summit has some lowback versions of the normal highback ones that should be perfect for the application... although I don't know the exact sizes, they should fit.

I'd love to take on this seat swap challenge but like MB said, got to think of the wife and *kids*

Once I get another rig I'm rippin' out the back seat and all the carpeting and junk and you know the rest....

Whats the legal standpoint on swapping seats anyway? That would suck if they weren't secured properly and you took a yee-haw ride through the windshield!

I think the rear of a Kick's interior is wider than a Sami and the 50/05 seats barely fit between the  wheel wells on the Kick. I have a set of the 50/50's in the shop. I'll try and measure it friday when I go out there.

I wonder if you could find a set of seats from the rear of a Brat. (They even have handles, in case the ride gets rough.)
