agreed that poppin diffs is a total pain and what your doing should resovle this.  i have a spare steel front available to me from a 91, even has the same gear ratio i'm running now, it might get installed one day, hopefully before i find myself stranded..

An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure...

Really though, where'd you find a STEEL diff out of a 91?

i know somebody that has a couple old kicks lying around for parts, asked if the fronts were steel or aluminum and was informed that there was a steel one available, just had to be removed.  personally i have not looked at it to confirm but the source is knowledgeable.
