OK HERE IS MY GRIPE... i have 3 cars so I have to insure all 3?? come off this bull

I asked about that one, too. W/ State Farm, they have a "garage queen" special based on ultra-low mileage... for "classic" cars. If I understand it correctly, if the car goes less than a couple hundred miles a year, it falls into the special discount rate.

Long, long time ago Insurance Companys used to just insure your license but found out they can get more money out of you for every car instead.
I think that fall out of favor with them about 20 yrs ago, just b-4 I got my license. :-/

How old are you guys who pay $600+ a year for liability? When I turned 25 my rate almost cut in half. I am 28 and my tracker only cost me $240/yr for liability w/$500 deduct. and $0 deduct. on comprehensive. It is my 4th car, but I don't think it makes a big difference. My third car is a 92 accord and it only costs $220.

What kind of bike costs that much to insure? (Wow!)

I think mine cost something like $190 a year, but it was a little 250. (The 650 cost about $35 more.)

I agree with HotRod.  A whole lot of government BS.  Driving is a "priveledge." Even though our taxes build the roads and private companies build and market vehicles, driving is still not our right.  Politicians make fees and requirements(insurance) that you must pay for to drive on "their" roads.  On a lighter note, my 88 Sammi costs about 560/year to add to a policy with my '04 Trailblazer.  I told my agent that I paid only $100 for it and it would see "limited highway use" I guess that way they company figures any sort of accident with my Sammi would result in a total loss, costing them only a couple hundred bucks.  HA! limited highway use!!  it now goes to work with me 3-4 days a week to keep miles off of the leased TBlaz.

Insurance costs is the main reason i have not bought a Tracker yet. Last year me(24) and my wife(20) bought a Dodge SRT-4 and fully expected to pay a killer insurance premium. It turned out to be $2,100CDN for both. Full insurance! We bought the car last July (2003) and have put 40,000Km's on the car in nine months. (were in the U.K. for three months)

I priced insurance for 1993 - 1995 Tracker 4Door 4X4 liability only and got quotes around $2,300 MORE THAN THE SRT-4 !!

On the other hand, a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee or a 2000 Dodge Dakota 4X4 were aprox $1,500 - $1,600 I can not figure it out at all!
