I have finally got my Sammi finished but who can honestly say a build is ever done there is always something to tweak.

Over the Holidays I had some vacation time so I decided to do the final step in my build up. A motor swap form the 1.3 to a 1.6 what difference. I completed the task in about 2 days with a little help from a couple of friends during the motor pull and dropping in stage. It went fairly well with only a few problems (rusted bolts). I used the intake off of the 1.3 with my Weber carb 34/34 and I had already upgraded to a Thorley header before the swap so I just had to bolt it back on. What a difference in power I can actually use 5th gear now and still have power. The motor came to life instantly and I did not have to tune the carb at all it started and idled perfectly.
My other mods that I had done previously are:
Lockrite in the rear
Calmini 3" springs
Calmini transfer case gear reduction 5.13
Custom built front bumper with a Mile Marker 8K winch
a new rear bumper form Rocky Road outfitters to replace that "POS" bumper
and a set of rock sliders/rails
super swampers 29/8.5 tires (these really dig. Not the greatest in the snow, but not bad)
bed liner inside
and a set of off 8" off road lights to top it off.
I may upgrade the headlights and install a bigger alternator (here I go again more upgrades)
I need to get some pictures and post them. If the weather warms up here so I can wash it I take some pictures. My local club is going out on what we call Mud-Rat New Year it is usually a week or two after the New Year's. We invade the woods and build a fire and cook fresh venison and make some kind of soup over the fire along with other snacks and munchies. We then throughout the day and night have trail runs in between stuffing our faces. I have pictures of last year I may post.
