Ya, they can be fixed, they are cables and they get dry and sticky.
Make sure you lubricate them before the cables get off track and
jammed, they are a real PITA to get back on right.
Remove the door panel, there are several screws that hold it into
place, take the screws out of the window and pull it out of the top,
when the screws are all out of the regulator it can be "folded" slightly
to get it out of the door, I used some WD-40 to get it moving again,
but that won't last, you need a good solvent and oil, I used PB Blaster
last time and then some spray white grease, so far it's working, but I
don't know what would be the best lube for it.
