Yeah, I'm hung up on Kenwood and want the DDX7015 but the damn thing only has 2 volt pre-outs.

If you really want that deck just get a line driver.

i know the deck has other nifty features and all..but if u are going to run amps off the deck u really want 4v pre outs or more..the sound is just 10 fold better past 4v

take a look at the panasonic 903 or the 983 if u want MP3 ability..the 903s are really a very very nice deck and can be had for something $170 now since they came out with a slightly newer model

It sucks that Kenwood had to dick that deck with the 2volts. The rest of the decks are 4 or 5v. The DVD is nice, especially since I'm gonna pick up a dvd burner soon. But I also need a deck that plays mp3s AND wma's. I'm using media player to rip my CD's now and I don't wanna take the time to convert them to MP3s. I prefer the WMA anyway.

I've never been a fan of Panasonic equipment, not sure why. I've always had Pioneer or Alpine in my first 3 cars. I switched to Kenwood in my third and have liked their equipment since. It's also nice that they use the same harness for their decks.

but we'll see. I'm still a ways off from building the sound system. Byt the time I get to it something better will be out.

I will be happy when I get a stereo installed in the tintop.  I can't see how you guys get so worked up.  This board is about Zuk's, crawling, mudding, breaking, and fixing not about bitching and biting.

u know i am not really positive..but i belive some 2v pre outs are better then others...i cant remember what the spec is to look for off the top of my head..ill check for you though
