OH NO SHE BROKE!
« on: February 07, 2010, 12:02:11 PM »
New Jersey got hammered with snow this weekend.  So, We took advantage and had a nice 4x4 adventure. My samurai did very well only once or twice she got close to getting really stuck.

Well the next morning when i go to get some grocery's at the store, I had a good bit of difficulty getting out of my driveway. When I got on the road I put her in 2wd. When i was heading home I took a side road that was not plowed so I go to throw it in 4wd and my transfer case grinds really bad. Pretty much made it seem I didn't have my hubs locked. So I stopped and checked and I did have my hubs locked. I almost didn't make it home. I find out my Driver side hub is really difficult to lock and unlock, and the drive shaft does not spin when the hubs are locked and its in 2wd. I'm figuring my hub or hubs is bad.

Do I have a bad hub or worst?  :'(

Thanks
Bob

Clean and grease the hubs, probably water and rust inside
