Ignition Coil question
« on: July 18, 2004, 12:14:31 AM »
Hey Guys,

I have a Accel Super Coil (cannister type ignition coil) to install in my kick. One the OEM coil there is a brown and black wire at the bottom which i believe are the + and -, but at the top of the coil there is a blue, orange and black wire. Do these have to be connected, or can i just leave them off?

Since I just did this: Brown = neg; Black = pos.

I left that alone and everything seems to be working fine... Can someone fill us in on what that is?

I haven't seen my FSM since I moved house :(.  I'd guess its from/to the back up ignition circuit

IIRC that is called the ignitor , you'll need to leave that connected to keep sparks flying.
