All carburator controls and sensors can be removed including the "ecm". Thinking out loud, if you're not using the power that goes to the original ecm for your new 1.6 ecm, where did you hook it up? Following that through, if the old Samurai ecm doesn't have power anymore it is not serving any purpose.

If you tapped into the wires "at the ECM" then you can just "cut" all the wires at the ECM (after your splice / tap of course).

The Sami ECM is no longer being used. Additionally, you can go through and remove anything on the firewall that is not being used such as the old coil connector, etc. etc.

WOW that looks nice

i managed to get my 85 crown vic to look like that, but didnt even want to try with the tracker... But now i will :D

Plus the prev. owner had a hackjob command start put in...and when im working on it, if something brushes the wires, it cranks over.

I make sure to disconnect the battery now. ::)

What bracket setup are you running (I'm sure it's too tight for pics).  This isn't a total hijack - I'm asking because I want to include the A/C & P/S as options in my wiring manual.

I will try to get some pics for ya (gotta work the rest of the week and weekend).
This was a Petroworks swap so not sure what if any mods were made to the brackets.

here are some pics... sorry for all the muddy water splash in the pics (good time were had).
it was hard to get in there but here are some around the edges of the mess of pulleys all stuck together.
Close to an inch (maybe less but not more, too tight to measure) between the power steering pulley and the ac pulley.

Hope these help.
