« on: July 14, 2004, 07:07:19 AM »
There is a 89 SAS Kick on 33s about 200mi south of me...the guy wants $1400CDN. I left him a message that I'd pick it up sight unseen...just waiting for him to get back to me...boy howdy is the CFO gonna be pissed if I get it ;)

I hope it's nice inside cause if your CFO is like mine she might make you sleep in it. ;D

The Sunrunner would be kept as my DD...the SAS Kick would be my/my daughter's project vehicle :)

If (when) you pick it up, you've gotta take pics... and post details on the swap :)

I'm trying to get some details on the swap now...looks like the rear axle has been moved back a couple inches and its been swapped to leafs. Its got some bad cancer in the doors and rear quarters as well.

Looks pretty rough (yet still less rust than both my Trackers :(), but seems to match the price if there's nothing mechanically wrong with it...

I'm hearing that this thing has a bit of a history...has had quite a few short term owners...I'm more than a little leary about it right now.

Looks like sammy axles with very heavy offset wheels! I wonder if it rubs or has a bad problem with bearings.

If only you were closer ;) There is an 88 in town here with a rebuilt engine and spare tranny and t-case for ~$1700 CDN...I may go look at it this weekend.
