I definetly want to get this carpet kit out of my Sami and put in a liquid bedliner of some sort.  I've considered getting an estimate from a local bedliner place.  But I'm not sure I wanna pay someone to do something I can do myself, that's not how LMS does things.  Plus workin' on the zuk is fun.  But I want my job to be thick, durable, and presentable looking.  Can anyone recommend a good do-it-yourself bedliner that gets the job closest to the pro job??[/i]



P.S.  If anyone wants a decent carpet kit for their Sami, I'll sell this one when I have it out in a week or two.  Anyone interested?

What padding???  I just stripped out a sammy and there was just carpet.  I plan to use the Duplicolor spray from Wally world when I do the inside of my sammy.

hey there, i did my truck insode and out. my tub had been holding up for about a year now. i would get hippo liner from canadin tire it's cheap and you have every thing you need to do the application except for the sand paper and tape.
p.s make sure you sand the area where your applying the liner. make sure there isn't any grease or dirt. before you put the liner on, clean it with paint thinner.

I just did the inside of my Tracker with the same stuff. Looks pretty good but it kinda looks like I just spraypainted it flat black. Either I didn't put enough on to make it rough or it really is just $8.00 a can flat black paint. I'm not sure.

Hippo liner huh.  tuff stuff?? Can you get it in the states?

mike, I'm an open air guy, so noise is not an issue, I get annoyed when I have to keep the doors on because there's no where to put them.  Yeah I know need half doors.  But I got other stuff to spend $$ on right now

Herculiner is a roll on liner that is sold at most part stores and it is very durable.

hey zig, i did my brothers jeep, with Herculiner on the outside. and it's already starting to fade and it's coming off. i think herc is shitty, it's harder to clean as well. If i had to do it again, i wouldn't use any thing except hippo. and it's only $50 canadian, herc is more then $100 for the same amount.  just my opinion, pierre

We did it in a friend of mines Jeep about 3 years ago and it's still holding strong. Due to it's texture it's tough to get all the dirt out, but it also keeps good traction when climbing in and out. He did the light Grey version, so no way to tell about the fading part :-/ I have never seen the Hippo here in the states, but I'll keep an eye out for it and check it out.
