Dry feeling in steering
« on: March 21, 2010, 08:38:57 PM »
I cant seem to figure out why my 96 x90 has dry/grinding feeling only when im turning left. Everything is stock. I had it up on the hoist and it wont do it. Only when its on the ground. This is driving me crazy. Thanx

are you sure its not a wheel bearing failing?   I've heard of that being a cause of such a feeling.

That's the feeling I got when the gears in the steering box were failing,
I pulled the top off and there were chunks of the gears in there, mine
had got so bad that it started to bind the steering wheel, making it very
hard to steer at all
